Where Your Sponsorship Goes - And Why It Matters
100% of your sponsorship supports athletes directly – no administrative costs, no overhead.
1. Financial Aid
We have never turned an athlete away because of cost. With your help, we never will.
Funds raised are first used to ensure any young person in our community who wants to row – can row. Talent and effort should determine who makes the team, not financial means.
2. Equipment
From the boats our athletes race in to the oars they pull, from the ergs they train on to the safety gear that protects them – every piece of equipment gets used hard, maintained constantly, and eventually needs to be replaced.
Your sponsorship keeps our fleet safe, competitive, and ready for every practice and race.
3. Travel Costs
Living in Northern Michigan means travel is our biggest challenge – most races are four hours away, and Nationals is a twelve-hour drive. The cost of getting athletes and equipment to race sites adds up fast.
Our objective is to reduce this burden – with the long-term goal of eliminating travel fees entirely, so the only cost of rowing is the cost of rowing.

What we can do by completion percentage:
- 9% – Financial Aid Goal – ensures we never turn an athlete away due to registration fees
- 66% – Equipment Goal – purchase 16 pairs of oars for the middle school program and 8 pairs for the high school program
- 100% – Travel Fee Goal – reduces the cost of travel by $100/athlete this season
- 155% – Eliminates travel fees this fall (excluding Nationals)
Fall Sponsorship Benefits
There are multiple ways to support Tritons Rowing.
Boats on the Boardman Business Sponsor
$2,500 business donation + 4-person team participation
Your business competes in a bracket-style rowing race on the Boardman Lake against other businesses and local schools.
Your 4-person team will be joined by four of our athletes and will receive three training sessions prior to the race. Like-businesses will compete head-to-head in initial rounds and then winners race winners until only one business, or school, remains.
This is sure to be one of the most fun events and best team building experiences your business does this year!
Recurring Donation
Become a Tritons Sustainer – $10, $25, $50, or $100 per month
Monthly donors provide the financial stability that lets us plan ahead, invest in long-term equipment, and say “yes” to every athlete who wants to row – regardless of cost.
One-Time Donation
Your gift today in any amount helps helps create a better tomorrow for the kids.

What we can do by completion percentage:
- 16% – Financial Aid Goal – ensures we never turn an athlete away due to registration fees
- 83% – Equipment Goal – purchase 2 new coach boats, motors, and safety equipment necessary to support team growth
- 100% – Travel Fee Goal – reduces the cost of travel by $100/athlete this season
- 156% – Eliminates travel fees this season

How do I know my money is being used well?
All sponsorship and donation funds are used in the order listed above. If you have questions or would like to direct your gift toward a specific project, please contact us.
Can I donate in honor of someone?
Absolutely! Just include their name in the donation form and we’ll send an acknowledgment.
Can I donate equipment instead of money?
Yes! Contact us to discuss equipment donations or in-kind support.
What if I can't afford to donate?
No problem. Share our fundraising page with your network or volunteer at an event. Community support comes in many forms!
